Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 09-01-2026    Last Updated: 10-14-2026

1. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE

AssemblyMatch LLC ("AssemblyMatch," "we," "us," or "our") operates assemblymatch.net and related websites, applications, and services (the "Platform"), a technology and lead-generation platform that connects service contractors with project requests for assembly, installation, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information about: (a) contractors and their owners, principals, and representatives ("Contractors"); (b) homeowners, residents, and commercial or business customers, and the individuals who act for them, who submit or are the subject of a service request ("Customers"); and (c) visitors to our Platform. Contractors are also bound by our Contractor Terms of Service, and Customers by the applicable customer terms. If this Privacy Policy conflicts with a more specific notice we give you at the time we collect information, the specific notice controls for that collection.

2. WHO WE ARE AND OUR ROLE

We are the business responsible for the personal information we collect through the Platform. AssemblyMatch LLC provides standalone software licensing, data infrastructure, and digital platform routing utilities to independent operating enterprises, including On Point Assembly Inc (“On Point Assembly”). AssemblyMatch LLC and On Point Assembly Inc. are entirely separate legal entities that operate independently. Neither entity controls, manages, or directs the corporate actions, bank accounts, or data liabilities of the other. When we handle Customer information on behalf of an independent operating enterprise to fulfill a service request, we do so under that operating enterprise's instructions and our agreement with it, and the operating enterprise's own privacy notice also applies to that information. AssemblyMatch and each third-party operating enterprise are separate legal entities. Some Customers reach us through the website of an affiliate, On Point Assembly, which markets assembly services, hosts our appointment reservation pages, and provides email support. On Point Assembly collects information on its own website under its own privacy policy, and shares Customer service requests with us so we can send them to Contractors. When you pay a reservation fee, we are the seller of the reservation service, and the payment is processed directly for us by our payment processor. On Point Assembly does not receive or hold your payment.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

3.1 Information you provide to us. Depending on how you use the Platform, this may include:

  • Contact and account information: name, email address, phone number, business name, mailing address, username, and password.

  • For Customers: service address, project or product details, preferred dates and times, budget, photos or notes you provide, communications with us or with Contractors, and reservation fee payment details, which are collected and processed by our payment processor; we receive a payment confirmation and limited card information (such as card brand and last four digits) but do not store full card numbers.

  • For Contractors: business and profile information, service categories and service regions, licenses and registrations, insurance certificates and policy information (including general liability, workers' compensation, and occupational accident coverage), Employer Identification Number, tax forms (such as Form W-9), bank or payout account details, and payment and billing information.

  • For Contractor owners and principals: date of birth, Social Security number or other tax identification number, address history, and a copy of a government-issued identification, for identity verification and background screening.

  • Feedback, survey responses, and information you send when you contact us.

3.2 Information collected automatically. We and our service providers collect device and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, dates and times of access, and approximate location derived from your IP address. If you enable location features, we may also collect precise geolocation. We use cookies and similar technologies described in Section 8.

3.3 Information from other sources. We may receive information from independent third-party operating enterprises utilizing the platform (such as customer contact details and order or product information); background screening and identity verification providers; insurance carriers, brokers, and certificate-tracking services; payment processors; licensing and registration agencies and other public records; and marketing and analytics providers.

3.4 Sensitive information. Some information we collect is considered sensitive under applicable law, including Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account information, background check results, and precise geolocation (if enabled). We collect and use sensitive information only as described in this Policy, such as to verify identity, screen Contractors, process payouts, and comply with law, and we obtain consent where the law requires it.

4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use personal information to:

  • Operate the Platform, create and manage accounts, and provide customer support.

  • Receive, review, route, and distribute service requests and Leads to Contractors, including matching based on service region and category, and dispatch jobs from third-party operating enterprises.

  • Verify identity, credentials, licenses, and insurance, and conduct background and identity checks on Contractor owners and principals.

  • Process subscription fees, lead purchases, and payouts, and prevent fraud and unauthorized payments.

  • Communicate with you about service requests, appointments, accounts, security, and changes to our terms and policies.

  • Send marketing communications where permitted, and measure and improve the Platform and our services.

  • Enforce our terms, protect the safety, rights, and property of users, third-party operating enterprises, and us, and investigate misuse, including scraping or unauthorized access.

  • Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and establish or defend legal claims.

  • Create aggregated or de-identified information, which we may use without restriction.

We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than those described in this Policy.

5. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We share personal information as follows:

  • Contractors. When you submit a service request, we share your name, contact details, address or service area, and project details with the Contractor(s) that receive or purchase your Lead so they can respond to your request. Contractors may use Lead information only to respond to the request, as our Contractor Terms require.

  • Third-party operating enterprises. We share job status, scheduling, completion, and related information, and Contractor information needed to perform dispatched jobs, with the third-party operating enterprises that requested the service.

  • Affiliates. We share information with On Point Assembly Inc. and other affiliates that host our reservation pages, market our services, and provide customer support, limited to what they need for those purposes (such as request details, appointment status, and reservation fee status). We do not share payment card numbers with them.

  • Service providers. We share information with vendors that perform services for us, such as payment processors, background screening and identity verification providers, insurance verification services, cloud hosting, analytics, customer support, email and messaging providers, and security and fraud-prevention services. They may use the information only to provide services to us.

  • Professional advisers, insurers, and authorities. We share information with our lawyers, accountants, insurers, and auditors, and with government agencies, courts, and others when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, subpoena, or legal process, or is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.

  • Business transfers. We may disclose or transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

  • With your direction or consent. We share information when you ask us to or where you have consented.

Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information in exchange for money in the ordinary sense. Contractors pay us fees for access to Leads, and some state privacy laws may treat disclosure of Lead information to Contractors in exchange for those fees as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Where those laws apply, you may opt out using the methods in Section 12. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 18 years of age.

6. COMMERCIAL AND BUSINESS CUSTOMERS AND BUSINESS CONTACTS

If you submit a request on behalf of a business, commercial property, retailer, or other organization, we collect and use your business contact details and the project, site, and order information needed to fulfill the request. We treat information about individuals acting for a business (such as a name, work email address, and work phone number) as personal information under this Policy. The Platform is designed for business and residential service requests; some privacy laws apply differently to individuals acting in a commercial or employment context, and we apply the rights described in Section 12 where the law requires and may extend them more broadly.

7. BACKGROUND CHECKS AND IDENTITY VERIFICATION

As part of Contractor onboarding, we conduct criminal background and identity verification checks on business owners and principals, using third-party screening providers. We collect the identifying information described in Section 3.1, receive the results, and use them to decide whether to approve, restrict, or remove a Contractor and to protect Customers and the Platform. We may repeat checks periodically. Where the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar laws apply, we provide separate disclosures and obtain authorization before obtaining a report, and we follow the required notice procedures before taking adverse action, including providing a copy of the report and a summary of rights. You may request information about, or dispute the accuracy of, a report through the screening provider identified in your disclosure. We limit access to background check results to personnel and providers with a need to know, and retain them only as described in Section 10.

8. COOKIES, ANALYTICS, AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies that are: (a) strictly necessary to operate and secure the Platform; (b) used for analytics and performance; and (c) used for advertising and marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings and through any cookie preference tool we provide, though disabling some cookies may limit Platform functionality. Where required by law, we honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for the browser or device that sends the signal. Our Platform does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals other than as described here.

9. COMMUNICATIONS

We may send service messages about your account, requests, and appointments. We may send marketing emails where permitted; you can unsubscribe using the link in the message or by contacting us, and we will honor opt-outs within the time required by law. We contact you by phone, text, or autodialed or prerecorded methods for marketing only where we have obtained the consent that applicable law requires. You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to a text message or contacting us. We do not share your telephone number with other sellers for their own marketing calls or texts unless you give separate, specific consent. Consent to marketing is not required to use the Platform.

10. DATA RETENTION

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, including to provide services, meet legal, tax, accounting, and insurance requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Our general retention periods are: account and profile information – up to 10 years after account closure; Lead and service request information – up to 7 years from last contact; Contractor background check results – up to 7 years after contract ends; tax, payment, and payout records – up to 7 years; and website analytics data – up to 10 years, or anonymized for indefinite historical analysis. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to legal holds. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information at any time before these periods expire by contacting us using the details provided in this Policy. We will honor these requests subject to any overriding legal or tax retention obligations.

11. SECURITY

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption of sensitive data in transit and at rest, and vendor oversight. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account credentials and notify us promptly at the contact information below if you suspect unauthorized access.

12. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES AND RIGHTS

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to: confirm whether we process your personal information and access it; correct inaccuracies; delete personal information; obtain a portable copy; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling; limit the use of sensitive personal information where the law provides that right; and appeal our decision on a request. Residents of New Jersey, California, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have these rights. California law also gives California residents, including Contractors and their personnel, rights regarding personal information collected in business, employment, or contractor contexts.

How to submit a request. Email assemblymatch@gmail.com, to opt out of sale or sharing or send an opt-out preference signal.

Verification and authorized agents. We will verify your identity before acting on a request by matching information you provide to information we hold, and may ask for additional information. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request; we may require proof of the agent's authority.

Response times. We respond to verified requests within 45 days, and may extend once by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, and we will tell you if we do.

Appeals. If we deny your request, you may appeal by emailing assemblymatch@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal" within 45 days. We will respond in writing within the time required by law, and if we deny the appeal, we will explain how to contact your state attorney general.

Non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Limits. We may be unable to honor a request, in whole or in part, where the law permits, such as where information is held under legal or regulatory retention requirements, is subject to the Fair Credit Reporting Act or other exemptions, or where honoring the request would compromise fraud prevention or security.
